1. Narcotics, Drugs
2. Skins, bones, feathers,etc. from animals on
the endangered species list. 3. Firearms that
are fully automatic, or are fitted with silencers,
or have been adapted from a rifle or shotgun so
that firearms is less than 660 mm
overall are prohibited entry to Canada. Handguns
require permit.
4. Foodstuffs, plants and pets have special restrictions.

6. Any shipper aged 16 or over may import duty
free up to 200 cigarettes and 50 cigars and 2lbs.

DUTIES:
1. Landed Immigrants are allowed duty and tax
free entry of HHG/PE provided these goods were
in their ownership / possession and use before
their arrivals in Canada.
2. Work permit holders will be asked to leave
a deposit against duties and taxes of 20% of value
up to a maximum deposit of $800(Canadian)
VEHICLES:
Mandatory safety and emission standards apply
to vehicles manufactures after 1-1-71. Some provinces/states
may charge a sales tax - other wise duty free.
